Apples only set good fruit after a long, cold winter. On the Kotgarh–Thanedar ridge, Samuel Stokes planted the Delicious apples in 1916 that went on to shape Himachal's apple economy. We will plant a modern high-density block on dwarfing rootstock, which fruits years sooner than traditional trees.
