Your data, handled plainly.
What we collect when you use UGAANA, why we need it, where it lives, and how to see, correct or delete it.
Last updated 24 September 2026. This draft explains how we intend to work. The final, reviewed version will replace it before any payment is collected.
1. The short version
- We collect only what we need to contact you about UGAANA: your name, mobile, email, city and the choices you make on the website.
- We use it only to talk to you about your reservation request, visit or question, and to plan how many families want each crop.
- We never sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.
- Email karan@bindalinfotech.com and we'll show you, correct or delete what we hold.
2. What we collect
When you send a form on this website (a reservation request, visit booking, question, farm vote or journal sign-up), we store:
- Contact details: name, mobile number, email (optional on most forms) and city.
- Your choices: crops and quantities, preferred spots, farm type or budget, visit date and number of guests, the message you write, and the acknowledgements you tick.
- How you found us: the page you were on, the page you first landed on, the referring website and any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source).
- An anonymous session ID: a random identifier from Firebase Authentication, so your requests can be linked together and, later, to your member account.
We don't collect payment details on this website. We don't use advertising trackers.
3. Where it's stored
Your submissions are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), secured by access rules so that the public can create a request but not read anyone else's. Only authorised UGAANA staff can read them, from our internal farm operations dashboard. Google acts as our data processor.
Your browser also keeps two small items in local storage: where you first came from, and the IDs of your recent requests. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
4. How we use it
- To call, WhatsApp or email you about your request, visit or question.
- To confirm crops, collect a refundable reservation when a crop is close to going ahead, and prepare your membership agreement.
- To count demand for each crop and farm (as totals, not named lists) and decide what to plant where.
- To send the farm journal, only if you asked for it.
We use your data only to contact you about UGAANA. We don't use it for anything unrelated, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
6. Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)
We aim to handle your data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. By sending a form, you consent to us using the details in it for the purposes above. You can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- withdraw consent and ask us to delete it;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you; and
- raise a grievance with us, and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
Email karan@bindalinfotech.com from the email or phone number you used, or mention the mobile number on your request. We'll respond promptly and within the time the law requires. Deleting your data also withdraws any open reservation request.
7. How long we keep it
We keep a request while it's active. If you don't become a member, we delete or anonymise your contact details within 24 months of our last contact, or sooner if you ask. Members' records are kept for the length of the membership and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
8. Children
This website is meant for adults. Children's workshops and school visits are booked by a parent, guardian or school, and we collect only what's needed to run the visit safely.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our storage provider, access is limited to named staff, and admin actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Contact and changes
For anything about your data, including grievances, email karan@bindalinfotech.com. A named grievance officer will be listed here before launch. If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top.
