Come and visit. Here’s how to do it safely.

1. Booking and confirmation

• Visits booked on our visits page are requests. A visit is confirmed only when we confirm it by WhatsApp, phone or email.
• We share the exact location, directions and parking details with confirmed visitors only.
• Our Jaipur farm hasn’t been leased yet. Until it is, early open days and children’s workshops may be held at another venue near Jaipur; we’ll tell you exactly where when we confirm.
• Nothing is charged on this website. Paid visits are paid by a link or at the venue, and cancellations follow our refund policy.
• Please tell us when you book about allergies, medical needs or accessibility needs, so we can plan.

2. Children

• Children are very welcome. Every child must be supervised by a parent, guardian or teacher at all times, including during workshops.
• For family visits, we ask for at least one adult for every three children. Children’s seed workshops are designed for ages 5 to 12.
• School visits need at least one teacher for every 15 students, and the school remains responsible for its students.
• We use child-sized tools, and keep children away from pumps, water tanks, open pits, machinery and any area recently treated.

3. Safety on a working farm

• Follow the farm team’s instructions, and stay on paths and in the areas we show you.
• Don’t enter the pump house, stores, water tanks or fenced areas, and don’t touch equipment, drip fittings or any container of fertiliser or spray.
• Areas that have been sprayed are marked; please keep out of them until we say they’re safe.
• Please don’t pick produce unless we invite you to: it’s grown for member families.
• No smoking, fires or alcohol on the farm. Pets are not allowed, except assistance animals.
• Wear closed shoes: farms have thorns, uneven ground, insects and, occasionally, snakes. If you see a snake, move away calmly and tell the team.
• We keep a first-aid kit on site and know the nearest hospital. Tell a team member straight away about any injury or if anyone feels unwell.

4. Weather

Jaipur summers are extreme. From April to June, visits are held early in the morning and kept short. We’ll cancel or move a visit if there’s an IMD heat, storm or heavy-rain warning for the area, or if the ground is unsafe after rain. If we cancel for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a free new date. We’ll try to tell you at least 24 hours ahead, and always by WhatsApp.

5. Photography

• You’re welcome to photograph your family, your plants and the farm for personal use.
• Please don’t photograph other families or their children without asking them first.
• We may take photos at events for plant passports and our journal. We’ll ask before publishing any photo in which you or your children can be identified, and you can say no at any time.
• Drones and commercial filming need our permission in advance.

6. Accessibility

Farms have uneven, unpaved ground, and facilities will be simple, especially in the first year. Tell us about any mobility or other needs when you book, and we’ll do what we can: parking close to the activity, seating and shade, a shorter route and extra help. Where something isn’t possible yet, we’ll tell you honestly before you come.

7. What to bring

• Closed shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, and light, full-sleeved clothes.
• Hats, sunglasses and sunscreen, especially from March to October.
• A refillable water bottle for everyone (we’ll have drinking water to refill).
• Any medicines you or your children need, including for allergies or asthma.
• A bag for anything you take home, such as seed trays from a workshop.

8. Belongings and conduct

Please look after your own belongings. We may ask anyone behaving unsafely or disrespectfully towards others or the farm team to leave. Nothing in this policy limits our responsibility for our own negligence, or your rights under Indian law. See also our terms.
