The terms, in plain English.
What you're agreeing to when you use this website, send a free reservation request or book a farm visit, and what we commit to.
Last updated 24 September 2026. This draft explains how we intend to work. The final, reviewed version will replace it before any payment is collected.
1. Who we are
UGAANA (“we”, “us”) runs a managed agricultural service from Jaipur, Rajasthan. These terms cover this website, reservation requests, visit bookings and the questions you send us. Once your crops go ahead, a separate membership agreement will set out the full terms of your membership, and it takes priority over this page.
Questions about these terms: karan@bindalinfotech.com.
2. What UGAANA is, and isn't
UGAANA is a managed agricultural service. As a member, you get a contractual right to have specific plants grown and cared for on your behalf by our farm team, and to receive what those plants produce, in the ways described in your membership agreement.
- You do not own land, trees or plants, and you get no title, lease, share, partnership or security interest in any farm.
- Membership is not an investment, a collective investment scheme, a deposit or a financial product. We don't offer, and will never describe, any return, income, profit or appreciation.
- We keep full operational control of the farms. Farming decisions (varieties, spacing, inputs, timing) are ours, made by our horticulturist.
3. Reservation requests are free
When you build a farm on this website and send it to us, you're making a free, non-binding reservation request. Nothing is charged online, and there is no payment gateway on this website.
We'll call you to confirm what you'd like. When your crop is close to going ahead, we'll ask for a ₹1,000 refundable reservation. That amount is refundable in full, for any reason, until you sign your membership agreement.
You can withdraw a request at any time by telling us at karan@bindalinfotech.com.
4. When a crop goes ahead
Each crop on each farm has a minimum number of families it needs before we plant (“demand first”). When that threshold is met, we'll send you the membership agreement. You then pay a one-time setup fee and, from planting onwards, an annual care fee. You'll see both amounts before you reserve anything, and every invoice shows tax line by line.
Our Jaipur pilot farm plans to plant on 13 Feb 2027. Our other regions are taking interest only: a partner farm is selected and contracted once enough families join. Until then, those farms are not operating for UGAANA, and we'll never describe them as if they were.
5. If a crop doesn't go ahead
If not enough families join for a crop, you pay nothing for it. Any reservation amount you paid is refunded in full, or, if you prefer, moved to a crop that is going ahead.
6. Refunds and cancellations
- Reservation (₹1,000): refunded in full on request at any time before you sign your membership agreement, and automatically if your crop doesn't go ahead.
- Setup and annual fees: cancellation and refunds after signing are set out in the membership agreement.
- Paid visits and workshops: free to cancel up to 48 hours before; if heavy rain makes a visit unsafe, we'll move it free of charge or refund it.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of your request.
7. Harvest estimates
Farming depends on weather, plant health and variety. For every crop we show three figures: a published reference, our planning range and a conservative figure. These are estimates to help you plan, not promises. After each harvest we publish the actual weight.
Your harvest can be delivered, collected, converted to a seasonal basket, donated or kept as farm credit, as described on our website and in your agreement. Selling produce through UGAANA will only be offered later, where the law allows.
8. Harvest protection and plant replacement
If a documented farm-level failure leaves your harvest below 50% of the planning range, harvest protection applies: we'll provide replacement produce where available, farm credit, or replanting, as set out in the membership agreement.
If one of your plants dies, we replace it at no cost in the next planting window, and your plant timeline shows what happened.
9. Farm layout and your spots
Farm layouts are drafts until soil and water tests are complete, and vegetable and herb beds rotate every season. Your spot may move before planting. Your number of plants, your share of the harvest and your price don't change, and we'll tell you if your spot moves.
10. Farm visits
Visit bookings made on this website are requests. A visit is confirmed only when we confirm it by WhatsApp, phone or email. Paid experiences are paid at the farm or through a payment link we send you; nothing is charged on this website.
Farms are working farms. Please follow the team's safety instructions, supervise children at all times, and wear suitable shoes. We share the exact location with confirmed visitors only.
11. Using this website
Please give us accurate details and don't misuse the website or its forms. Images marked “Illustrative” are not photographs of our farms. Prices shown on the website can change until your membership agreement is signed; the agreement fixes them.
12. Our responsibility
We'll run the farms with reasonable care and skill and do what we say on this website. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer protection law. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, pests or disease outbreaks, or government action, which is why harvest protection exists.
13. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change, and material changes will be sent to people with an active request or membership. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have jurisdiction.
